PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN KAMPUS TERHADAP RELIGIUSITAS MAHASISWA DI STIKES ABDI PERSADA BANJARMASIN

Abstract

The campus environment is a major factor influencing students’ religiosity. STIKES Abdi Persada Banjarmasin as an Islamic-based health higher education institution places religious values as the foundation of moral and professional development. This study aims to analyze the effect of the campus environment on students’ religiosity across several dimensions, namely belief, religious practice, inner experience, knowledge, and morality. This research employed a qualitative method using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies involving students, lecturers, and campus administrators. The findings indicate that the campus environment significantly influences students’ religious development. Physical environmental factors including the campus mosque, prayer facilities, religious atmosphere, and religious programs contribute to enhancing religious practices and spiritual awareness. Meanwhile, the social environment, through the roles of lecturers, peers, and student organizations, strengthens students’ religiosity through modeling, interaction, and habituation. However, challenges remain, including technological development, limited time for religious coaching, and heterogeneous student backgrounds. This study highlights the importance of a structured and collaborative campus environment to promote students’ religious values within health higher education institutions.
