Abstract

This reseacrh examines the practice of dropshipping in Indonesia through the lens of contemporary Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh muamalah), emphasizing the clarity of the contract, ownership of goods, and the mechanism of stockless transactions. The study aims to understand whether the dropshipping system complies with sharia principles, such as the clarity of the object of sale and purchase, the prohibition on selling goods not yet owned, and the possibility of using wakalah or salam contracts in digital transactions. The method used is library research, including a review of classical and modern literature, the views of Islamic scholars, and legal provisions related to e-commerce. The research findings indicate that the practice of dropshipping is permissible under sharia as long as the seller implements the correct contract, is transparent with consumers, and avoids elements of gharar and other forms of fraud. Thus, dropshipping is a modern business model that can still operate in line with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence if it follows the rules of valid contracts according to sharia.
