This library research aims to analyze the conceptualization of the Value of Time (VOT) in Islamic economics and its formulation as a theoretical strategy for improving business performance in the real sector. Employing a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques, the study draws data from primary sources, including Islamic theological texts and the works of contemporary Islamic economists, as well as secondary sources such as scholarly journals and literature on Islamic management. The literature review reveals that Islamic economics firmly rejects the conventional Time Value of Money (TVM) paradigm, which legitimizes interest-based usury (riba). Instead, the concept of VOT asserts that time possesses intrinsic value as a trust (amanah) and a productive resource, whereby capital gains are considered legitimate only when combined with real economic activities (amal). Time optimization strategies are constructed through work-priority planning (Fiqh al-Aulawiyat), the elimination of unproductive time, and professional commitment. Theoretically, the linear VOT model demonstrates that time efficiency can significantly enhance labor productivity and corporate profitability. Through the analytical framework of Maqashid Sharia, time optimization directly contributes to the preservation of the five essential objectives of Islamic law (al-daruriyyat al-khamsah). The findings imply that Sharia-based time management directs capital circulation toward strengthening the real sector, thereby fostering long-term success and ultimately achieving genuine prosperity (falah).
