PENERAPAN DEEP LEARNING PADA MATA PELAJARAN PAI DI SMA IT ASSALAM MARTAPURA

This study examines the implementation of deep learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA IT Assalam Martapura. In the educational context, deep learning emphasizes active student engagement in understanding concepts deeply, connecting religious values with life experiences, and developing critical and reflective attitudes. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The findings indicate that the implementation of deep learning in PAI enhances students’ understanding of religious concepts, critical thinking skills, and spiritual motivation. Strategies applied include case-based thematic discussions, value reflections, social service projects, and integration of digital technology to support the exploration of religious content. This study underscores that deep learning is not merely a teaching method but also a process of value transformation that strengthens the development of Islamic character.
