PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI SMAN 1 BANJARMASIN

This study aims to describe the implementation of cooperative learning models in the Indonesian language subject at SMAN 1 Banjarmasin and to analyze their impact on students’ motivation and learning outcomes. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the application of cooperative learning models, specifically Think Pair Share (TPS) and Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), effectively increased student participation, fostered critical thinking skills, and strengthened social interaction within the classroom. The teacher acted as a facilitator, guiding students to collaborate, discuss, and present their ideas. The main challenges encountered were time limitations and the heterogeneity of students’ abilities; however, these issues were addressed through careful planning and reinforcement of learning motivation. Overall, cooperative learning made a positive contribution to the achievement of students’ literacy competence and collaborative character development.
